So, as forecast the rain has stopped and it’s a gloriously sunny
afternoon. As planned we’ve been to see the river and as we
suspected, it’s very high. Touching the top of the arches on the
road bridge.
Hardly a gap under the railway bridge.
You wouldn’t be able to walk under the road bridge over the canal
today.
Our neighbours at Fettler’s Wharf Marina on the other side of the
canal to us, are well & truly overflowing into their car park and
it won’t be long before their cafe is underwater too.
We had tied our boat up nice and tight to stop it moving too much
with the wind, but due to the high level of the canal the ropes were
too tight so we’ve had to loosen them.
